nstrumentation and associated algorithms
This activity is dedicated to developing advanced nuclear instrumentation to be embedded on the wheeled and legged UGV and UAV platforms. These solutions are rigorously tested to ensure they meet the high standards required for radiological environments.
The primary objective of this activity is to modify and adapt existing heterogeneous unmanned robotic platforms to acquire data from radiological environments to enhance the robotic solution’s ability to operate safely in hazardous environments while maximizing the collection of critical data for operators.
This activity aims to create detailed 3D maps of the environment by combining data from the robots’ sensors. These maps, enriched with visual and radiological information, provide operators with a clearer and more accurate understanding of the scene. AI-driven mission planning will enable the robots to operate autonomously, optimizing their efficiency.
Demonstrations will test and validate the project’s technologies in real-world scenarios. It will ensure that the integrated systems are fully functional and adaptable to the defined operational requirements.
This activity ensures project’s results and innovations are widely shared and adopted. It focuses on raising awareness, engaging stakeholders, and transitioning project outcomes into practical solutions for the nuclear industry.
