SCK CEN is one of the largest research institutions in Belgium. Every day, more than 900 employees dedicate themselves to developing peaceful applications for radioactivity. SCK CEN's research activities focus on three main topics: innovative nuclear systems, nuclear waste management and dismantling, and boldly combating cancer. As a world-renowned organization, SCK CEN shares its expertise by means of countless publications and training courses, so that this pool of exceptional competence can be maintained.
In XS-ABILITY, our main role focuses on the final testing and demonstrations of developed integrated solutions on mobile robots, showcasing fleets operating together in real operational environments. This effort validates robotic technologies and drives safer, more efficient nuclear decommissioning with strong strategic and economic benefits.
